Transition to Skyward Qmlativ

Transitioning to Skyward Qmlativ

In Spring of 2027, Oak Harbor Public Schools will upgrade from Skyward SMS 2.0 to Skyward Qmlativ. This transition will modernize our student information systems and fiscal systems.

Director of Information Services Tyler Starkovich will serve as the Project Lead for the District Migration Project Team. The project team recently attended a Washington State K-12 User Group, hosted by WSIPC, to learn more about the transition and next steps. This team is currently refining data and timelines with WSIPC and NWRDC.

What to Expect:

  • Communication: The District Migration Project Team will provide regular updates, opportunities for input, system previews, and training opportunities as plans solidify.
  • Support: This page will continue to be updated with resources.

We recognize the scale of this change and are committed to providing the resources needed for a successful launch. Thank you for your partnership!

  • Our target Go Live Date is April 13, 2027

The District Migration Project Team has been working through planning and data cleanup to prepare for upcoming data validation and configuration that will run through March 2027.

March 20, 2027 is the target Go-Dark date

This means that SMS 2.0 has been officially “locked down” to all district users and the Production data is being readied to go. Dark Days extend to the point where Qmlativ Production Database is opened to the district project team to begin final configurations. The bulk of this work will occur over the week of Spring Break. There will be training and feedback opportunities before and after the Go Live date.
