Thank you for volunteering to support our students and schools!
Our volunteers are made up of enthusiastic parents, military personnel, senior citizens, businesses, and community members who are willing to dedicate their time and talents to the education of our children. Our volunteers are very important to us. We aim to make every volunteer experience enjoyable and meaningful. Whether it be chaperoning a dance, working in the classroom, or helping out with afterschool tutoring, your participation is valued!
Fill Out an Online Volunteer Application
All volunteers need to fill out a Volunteer Application. A background check is required as part of the process. Background checks take a minimum of three to six days to process and cannot be expedited by our office.
Due to the turnaround time for background checks, please try to have your application turned in a minimum of 3 weeks prior to your volunteer event.
Receive Your Volunteer ID Badge
Once your application is fully processed you will be contacted through the email address on your application and notified that you have been cleared to volunteer and to come into the District Office to get your picture taken for your ID Badge. Official District ID badges must be worn while you are volunteering on any school district property.
Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator with any questions.
In an effort to use less paper, we have converted our general volunteer application to an electronic form. Select your application type from the drop down menu. If you are military, select “Command” or select your “church/group” if you are representing an organization that is partnered with OHPS..
Completed student volunteer applications can be returned to the District Office at 350 S. Oak Harbor Street.
