Oak Harbor High School Junior Susie Diamond was sworn in as the new student board representative on the Oak Harbor School Board at the Monday, September 14, board meeting. Susie will fill the junior student representative position, joining Senior Gwen Miller on the board to share student perspective. Student representatives on the School Board help ground district and school board decision-making in student voice by participating in critical conversations and sharing student perspective on issues. During the selection process in May, Diamond said she wants to help other students feel a sense of belonging in our schools.
