Oak Harbor High School Students Place in Congressional Art Contest

At the Congressional Art Contest on Friday, May 1, Oak Harbor High School students took both first and second place! Olivia Hamm earned first place for her drawing “Sleepy” and will travel to Washington, D.C., for an awards ceremony where her work will be displayed in the White House Cannon Tunnels. AP Art student Jasper Christopherson ‘ placed second with “Up close and far away: Isaiah.” Congressman Rick Larsen will display the artwork in his Washington D.C. office.

With 16 entries from OHHS students across a variety of art programs, our school showcased an incredible depth of talent and creativity. A huge moment for these artists and for OHHS. Go Cats!
