Oak Harbor Public Schools aims for equitable recognition of individuals, groups, and causes as we adhere to state requirements for observances. We recognize Individuals, groups, and causes throughout the year in a variety of ways, internally and externally. 

In general, the district provides a greater emphasis on groups and causes directly related to

• Oak Harbor Public Schools
• Educational causes in general
• Legal requirements

Other districts may celebrate or recognize groups on different dates. Individual schools may also expand on these observances.
