Oak Harbor Public Schools leadership and school board members hosted a legislative forum on Friday, December 12, attended by State Representative Dave Paul and State Senator Ron Muzzall.

The forum provides an opportunity for district leadership to share priorities and challenges and to advocate for the improvement of state support of our public schools. Representatives also provide insights into the state budget and government activities.

Oak Harbor Public School's food service management company, Sodexo, will be introducing Bright Bites Kitchen at elementary schools and HomeConnection in January. The program will replace the current Clubhouse program with a chef-inspired menu of fresh and flavorful favorites and whole foods.

NWMS Girls' Volleyball Fundraiser was a smash! The 8th Grade won the Competition and got to choose two coaches to pie. Shout out to Ms. Prosser, Ms. Ricketts and Mr. Snavely for participating!

Athletics Highlights

  • The Wildcat Boys and Girls Wrestling teams put on an exciting display during the annual Purple and Gold night on December 2. This event consists of teammates facing off against one another in a spirited showcase of skill and competitiveness to decide which students will place Varsity for the season. The event highlighted the team's depth, with wrestlers across all weight classes demonstrating sharp technique, toughness, and discipline on the mat. Each match brought high energy from athletes and the crowd, creating a fun but intense environment as the wrestlers pushed themselves to perform their best. 
  • The Wildcat Varsity Boys Basketball team faced off against the Marysville Pilchuck Tomahawks for their first home game of the season on November 29! The game was competitive, the score staying within 10 points up until the 3rd quarter. Finally, the Wildcats pulled through, winning with a score of 75-61!
