Our website includes year-round information about academics, support services, and resources. Schools also provide specific communication to families just before the school year begins.
Below is information that you may find especially helpful as you prepare for a new school year. This information is updated each summer as your official Back to School Guide and can be referenced throughout the year.
Important Dates:
We are committed to providing the necessary school supplies to make sure students receive a quality education in Oak Harbor Public Schools. This is in large part due to the incredible generosity of our community through local levies.
Schools provide the basic supplies needed for students. However, we understand many families enjoy the process of purchasing school supplies for their students, including backpacks. If families still wish to purchase their own additional school supplies, they are more than welcome to do so, but it won’t be required. If your child needs assistance in purchasing a backpack or headphones, please let us know and we will have one available for them.
Below are examples of the supplies our schools may provide to make sure your child is ready. The specific school supplies offered to our families depend on the courses, instructional model, program, and level of the classes in which each student is enrolled.

Our district and each school have several ways to get involved! Whether you want to volunteer in the classroom or an event, join or support the PTA, join an advisory committee, or become a district employee, we encourage you to learn more.
Each school website has a calendar on its home page with the latest events and activities. Each school website also has a “Get Involved” section where you can learn more. Check back on these pages often as new opportunities pop up throughout the year.

We have also returned to early-release Mondays.
Individual schedules are available in the "Our School" section of each website. A comprehensive schedule is available on the district website under "Resources."
Routes for each upcoming school year are assigned in late August.
Regular transportation is provided for students residing outside the one-mile walking area of their home school attendance area. Please fill out the Transportation Request Form to request student transportation or to request a change to your current arrangement throughout the year. If you submit a form over the summer, the transportation team will contact you in late August.
