Ms. Janice Flinn

I received my undergraduate degree from Penn State University and completed my Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Kansas State University in 1996.  I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), a nationally recognized professional credential that represents a level of excellence in the field of Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).  Those who have achieved their CCC—ASHA (American Speech-Hearing Association) certification—have voluntarily met rigorous academic and professional standards, typically going beyond the minimum requirements for state licensure.

I became an SLP because I believe in celebrating small gains, in helping others little by little, and empowering students to learn compensatory strategies to ultimately conquer their communication challenges. I am experienced working with children with a variety of communication challenges and disorders. I believe in routinely collaborating with classroom teachers, other school professionals and community specialists in order to provide your child with the individualized and appropriate continuum of care they need to grow and thrive as effective communicators in many settings. I am supportive of parent involvement to encourage speech/language practice activities at home.
