Dr. Andrew D. Judd has been the director of the North Whidbey Middle School Band since 2007.  A native of Chehalis, WA, Dr. Judd graduated Summa Cum Laude from Evangel University in Springfield, MO with a degree in Music Education (2002). Dr. Judd continued his education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) where he received both the Masters of Music in Trombone Performance (2004) and the Doctor of Musical Arts in Trombone Performance (2007).  During his time in Greensboro, Dr. Judd was an active member of the music community and was able to play with the Lynchburg, VA and Fayetteville, NC symphonies.  During the 2005-2006 school year, he served as an adjunct professor at Elon University, where he taught low brass lessons and was the instructor for the brass techniques course.

Dr. Judd is a member of the San Juan Music Educators Association, Washington Music Educators Association, MENC: The National Association for Music Education, Oak Harbor Educators Association, Washington Educators Association, and the National Educators Association. He is an avid golfer and enjoys the outdoors.  Judd met his wife Amanda while playing in the orchestra at Evangel and they were married in 2002.  He has four children: three daughters Annice (7), Adeline (5) and Avery (3); and one son Austin (3 months).  Students should know that Dr. Judd loves burritos with Habanero sauce from Qdoba Mexican Grill!
