Dear Students and Families,
I'm excited to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for sports and fitness activities here at my Alma Mater. I have lived almost my entire life on a small farm on the north end of Whidbey Island. I enjoy traveling, but I'm always thankful to be home. We live in the most beautiful place on earth. This is where my husband and I have raised our two sons, which were the 4th generation to graduate from Oak Harbor High School.
After graduating from Western Washington University, I was hired in the fall of 2000 to teach PE and coach volleyball at Oak Harbor High School. I have always loved the gym and sports, so it was fitting that I chose teaching/coaching as a career. It is a privilege for me to share that love with the youth in our community in my classes and on the volleyball court. It is my hope that students will enjoy activities that will help them to develop healthy fitness habits. My classes are activity-based, and everyone is expected to physically participate daily. Students will learn and practice the components of fitness and fitness principles, while they work towards meeting personal fitness goals.
