Greetings Students and Families!
Oak Harbor High School is a nationally recognized hospitality program with a legacy of excelling in State and National competitions. I have been a part of the high school and Wildcat Catering since 2011 and am looking forward to sharing my love of cooking, baking, and the culinary industry with you.
All of my culinary-related classes emphasize the foundations of cooking through both classroom instruction and hands-on learning in the kitchen or bakeshop. I work to give students the ability to cook for themselves, as well as to prepare them for employment in a commercial kitchen. Students will receive instruction on and utilize proper sanitation and safety throughout the courses. Students will be able to try most of the foods they prepare in class.
Students in Culinary and Baking classes will prepare and cater through Wildcat Catering, our licensed, student run catering business. Students wishing to compete in both SkillsUSA and ProStart competitions will be given that opportunity.
