Hello and welcome to kindergarten at Crescent Harbor Elementary!

I am new to the Crescent Harbor community this year and I look forward to getting to know all of you. Last year I moved to Whidbey Island from California, where I taught elementary school for more than 30 years, all in the primary grades. I particularly enjoy working with the youngest learners, whose daily victories bring me great joy. Whether it be learning to write their names, cracking the code to letters and sounds, or trying something new for the first time, I feel privileged to be a part of kindergarten students’ growth and development.

I believe in supporting your children both academically and socially/emotionally. I will do my best to create a safe and nurturing environment where each child’s unique qualities will be celebrated and respected. Each day we will spend time team building and strengthening our classroom community. I believe that families are an important part of their child’s education and am excited to partner with you on this journey.
