Parent Teacher Organization
OHHS PTO is very active in the lives of our students, faculty and administrators. We look to the parents for support, both financially and through volunteerism. We realize that your lives are busy and appreciate any amount of time that you can share with us. If you can only help financially, we appreciate that support as well.
Some of the ways we assist at OHHS:
Academic Letter Program
*OHHS Honor Roll that recognizes students who have achieved excellence by earning a 3.5 GPA for two consecutive semesters.
*Provide support for students who need financial assistance with mandatory athletic, elective and ASB fees
*Purchase caps and gowns for graduation (All services coordinated through the counseling center)
*Support 9th grade Battle of the Books *Volunteer as mentors for afternoon activities while providing a safe environment for our students
*Provide snacks for finals
*Classroom support upon request by individual teachers
*Celebrate the OHHS staff with a luncheon in May.
PTO meetings are held at 5pm the first Wednesday of each month in the Counseling Center, with a few exceptions due to school conflicts. Monthly meeting reminders will be emailed to all.
We strive to be the link between students, staff, school and families.
Everyone is WELCOME to attend
Consider a membership with the PTO. Membership is required to vote at general meetings and to hold an executive position on the board. You membership fee covers administrative costs of the PTO organization. Donations and fundraisers support the programs.
Membership is $10 per person.
