Welcome to Third Grade at Hillcrest! I am excited to get to know your child this year and lead them in learning, not only in academics but also in being kind and strong individuals. I have been teaching for 8 years in different areas. This is my first year teaching at Hillcrest, however, I was here at the end of the year last year completing a long-term substitute position. The bulk of my experience is in 2nd and 3rd grade. However, I have experience from K through 12 grade.

I am not a native of Oak Harbor but have found some amazing friendships and connections here in my little time of just under two years. My husband and I have a 5-year-old daughter. We enjoy traveling and one of our first stops was to Canada (before they closed their borders). As a parent and a teacher, I know how important family time is and plan to create a classroom environment where we maximize our time together so you can maximize your time together as a family.

I love teaching third grade. I believe this grade is such an impactful grade for students. This is where they begin to build confidence in their abilities and build lasting friendships. Some of my most precious memories as a teacher came from my years of teaching third grade. In order to create a well-rounded individual, we, as parent and teacher must work together to support, guide, and teach your child.
