Welcome to North Whidbey Middle School and Mr. Sisto’s 7th grade history class! For those of you who recognize my name, I am the former the Assistant Principal at OHI. In starting my 29th year of supporting students in Oak Harbor, I am excited to return to the classroom and have the opportunity to be your child’s teacher this year.
Some of the most important work we do in education is to help students connect relationally with each other. To develop strong and lasting connections, building a strong classroom community is critical. Building that sense of community means giving students the tools to share their voice in shaping what our learning environment looks and feels like. As we navigate getting to know each other and develop classroom expectations, students will have the chance to share their ideas to help make the classroom what they want it to be.
While this year may present challenges for your child, please know that my goal is to work with your child and you to help build confident young learners. If at any time you need to reach out, please do so. The sooner we can resolve any concerns you may have, the sooner we can help your child know they are an important part of our learning community. You can reach me at the email and phone number below.
