Welcome to First Grade!

It is with great excitement that I begin my 2nd year at Broad View Elementary teaching 1st grade. I began my teaching career at Broad View in 2019, student teaching in 3rd grade, and have been in 1st grade since 2020. It is a great place to be. I love the excitement and curiosity 1st graders bring to school.

I started my career off as an RN, where I spent many years. I realized I loved working with children and the teaching aspect of nursing, which led me to pursue my teaching degree.

I grew up in Texas, but my family and I have lived on beautiful Whidbey Island for the last 5 years. I enjoy spending time with my wonderful three daughters. We have come to enjoy all that the PNW has to offer.

I am looking forward to starting the school year and getting to know your child. It is important to me that we work as a team to help your child be successful. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
