Dear Students and Families,

Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! It is with great excitement that I begin my first year at Hillcrest Elementary. After earning my Master’s in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College and teaching kindergarten in the Kent School District my husband and I moved to Florida for his military orders. We have been fortunate enough to be stationed back in the Pacific Northwest at Naval Air Station Oak Harbor. I am thrilled to be joining the wonderful Kindergarten team here at Hillcrest!

I enjoy all aspects of teaching. My most enjoyable moments are when a child has learned something for the first time. The moment when they learn how to read, they learn to write a story, or the moment they realize they can do something they have never done before. I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of you!
