Mr. Matthew Williams

  • Welcome Message

    Dear Students and Families,

Hello, My name is Matthew Williams and I am the video production teacher for Oak Harbor High School. I grew up in Oak Harbor and I spent most of my high school career in this same program; graduating in 2006. I joined the Navy as a Mass Communication Specialist and spent four and a half years shooting photos and videos the the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman. I spent a year as a visual information specialist doing a little bit of everything media following the Navy and then I got the chance to teach photojournalism for the Department of Defense, which I did for a little more than three years at the Defense Information School on Fort Meade, Maryland. After having my daughter, we decided to pack up and move back home to Washington State. I worked for the US Small Business Administration as a public affairs specialist and an economic development specialist; but the fun of teaching lingered in the back of my mind and I missed it. A lot.

My classroom is always open and guests are always welcome. Come see the amazing things your student is doing and the fun they are getting to have. If you are a student; sign-up for one of our classes and come make something amazing.

    Sincerely,
    Mr. Matthew Williams
