Hello Students and Families!
I am so excited for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. I will be teaching Math Resource, Production Lab, Co-Teaching ELA with Ms. Dresker and Co-Teaching Math with Ms. Fujimoto. This is my fourth year teaching at North Whidbey and I am looking forward to getting to know your student and meeting their academic needs.
In math, we are starting a new curriculum this year called "Big Ideas Math". It is a great program that I am excited to share with your students. In ELA, we will be reading the novels, Touching Spirit Bear and Full Cicada Moon. We will also explore poetry, drama, short stories and more. It is going to be a great year!
I am also a Special Education Teacher as well as case manager. We are in a very unique academic time with online classes and I will do my best to work with your student so they achieve academic success. Special Education is a team effort and I look forward to working with you and your student to make this a great year! We will have an opportunity to meet during your child’s annual Individual Education Program (IEP) review, and/or parent conferences.
Please be sure to keep an eye on Skyward to check on grades, missing and completed assignments. Google classroom is another great source to check to monitor your student's success in school. Please contact me if there are any questions.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Stacey Scott
