Dear Students and Families,

I am excited to be teaching in Oak Harbor.  I’ve relocated to Oak Harbor from Southern California where I taught middle school for twenty years. My background is mathematics and science in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I’m excited to continue my teaching career on this beautiful island. My classroom is based on the principle that all students can master the curriculum through perseverance and a positive growth mindset. I look forward to working together to ensure your child is successful this year.

Our classroom is set up to explore math and science using cooperative learning strategies. Students work in groups and individually and will be expected to complete tasks assigned. We will be using Math and Science interactive notebooks and students will be responsible to keep their notebooks up to date. Each student is responsible for his/her work and is given ample opportunity to complete all assignments given.
