Dear Students and Families,

 

It is with great honor that I begin my sixth year at Crescent Harbor Elementary.  Initially, the military brought my family and me to Whidbey Island, but the endearing community and our appreciation for the natural beauty of the island made Oak Harbor the ideal home for us.  Teaching is my absolute passion!  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share my love for learning and discovery with each of my students and their families!  

 

Second grade is an important stage in the lives of our children and a time that is filled with academic and social growth. Throughout the day in our classroom, you will observe students working collaboratively in small groups, as a whole class group, and at times independently.  I give my students the opportunity to explore our lessons through a variety of learning styles.  I utilize technology, music, rhyme, dance, drama, games, and hands-on activities to help my young scholars successfully achieve each milestone along their second grade journey.

 

I look forward to building lasting relationships with each of my students and their families.  Together, we will support our students in order to meet and exceed their individualized learning goals.  Thank you for giving me this opportunity to get to know you and your child.
