Student Bus Routes and More Now Online

Families can now find student transportation and bus information online 24 hours a day, thanks to a new program called Infofinder. With just a few clicks, the user-friendly service can identify the location of the nearest bus stop, pickup, and drop-off times and allow parents to sign-up for transportation notifications and alerts.

Just click on the link below and provide your student's home address, school of attendance, and grade level. You'll be connected to a menu with further instructions. Please note by state law, you must be outside a one-mile radius from your home school to receive bus transportation. If your student attends an Oak Harbor school but lives outside the district boundaries, please contact the Transportation Department directly for route information at 360.279.5570.

    Transportation for Kindergarten Students

A parent or guardian must be present at the bus stop to pick up their Kindergarten child at the end of the day. If a guardian is unable to be present, they may designate another adult by submitting a written note to the Transportation Office in advance. The note will be kept on file upon request. Submit your request to the Transportation Director, Cathi Gutierrez.

    Student Walking Routes
The district partners with the City of Oak Harbor's Safe Routes to School program to support families with resources such as a Walking School Bus, Bike Trains and other safe route resources.  If you have any questions regarding walking routes, please call our staff at (360) 279-5570.  We look forward to serving you.

    Safety is our highest priority

Every day more than 2,100 students are safely transported to and from our schools. We are proud to say our district has one of the nation's best safety records. There are 32 bus routes, each operating twice each morning and twice each afternoon. Secondary school students arrive at school by 7:50 a.m. and leave by 2:30 p.m. Elementary school students arrive by 8:55 a.m. and leave at 3:35 p.m.  Throughout the year, buses can be early or late depending on traffic conditions. Please help your child arrive at the bus stop at least five minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time.
