Welcome to Broad View Elementary!
I am the Learning Assistance Program (LAP) teacher at Broad View Elementary. My duties are to coordinate and oversee all of the reading and math assessments used to identify students in need of extra support. The LAP program is funded by the state of Washington.
Once students have been identified that need extra support in literacy the Broad View LAP team delivers the district's adopted curriculum for interventions.
The Broad View LAP team consist of seven paraeducators, Ms. Perkins, Mrs. Frostad, Mrs. Sublet, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Fowler, Mrs. Wise and Mrs. Mumper.
As a veteran teacher and a former Broad View Elementary parent I am thrilled to be a part of the Broad View staff.
I so enjoy working with students that need that extra bit of help to become proficient readers and mathematicians.
