Hello!  Welcome to our first grade family at Crescent Harbor Elementary.  I have been teaching first grade at Crescent Harbor for many years.  Prior to teaching in Oak Harbor, I taught kindergarten in California and fifth grade in Minnesota.  My own children have gone through the Oak Harbor Public Schools and have taken advantage of the many opportunities offered in our great schools!

Our primary goal for first graders is to instill a love of learning and discovery, to build independence as a learner and a citizen, to foster a safe environment for all children, and to provide necessary resources to help students meet academic standards.

We continually strive to help our students support each other as learners.  Working together promotes student learning and achievement. Students are encouraged to develop and practice skills in problem-solving, listening and speaking, critical thinking, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
