Mr. Walt Bankowski

  • I started teaching at Crescent Harbor Elementary School in 2001 after two years at Oak Harbor Elementary School.  After a career in the Navy, I became a teacher to take advantage of the many volunteer hours I had spent in classrooms for children with special needs when I was in college.

As a Special Educator in the Resource Room setting, my main goal is to support all students as they learn to become better readers, mathematicians, and writers.  I also want my students to improve their social/emotional and behavioral skills, allowing them to become productive members of their class.  My hope is that they can transfer those skills to the general education classroom and be comfortable with the district curriculum.

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Bankowski
