Dear Students and Families,
The overall goal of my class is to increase the literacy and writing ability of my students. Specifically, we target student growth through reading, writing, listening, speaking, discussion, reflection, and viewing.  We also focus on building vocabulary and critical thinking skills. We utilize fiction, non-fiction, and poetry reading to help students practice reading strategies and comprehension. The focus for writing is on narrative, informational, and argumentative writing.
