Welcome to Third Grade at Hillcrest!

I am excited to get to know your child this year and lead them on a journey of learning. I have been teaching for 11 years in grades 3, 4 & 5 and music to all ages. Hillcrest has been my home for the last 7 years & I love being a Heron!

My husband and I have lived in Oak Harbor since 2002. We have 2 children who have grown up in this community and flown away to pursue their futures. We enjoy hiking the beaches and forest trails as often as possible and appreciating the beauty surrounding us here.

I really love 3rd graders because they are full of life and ideas and creativity. I want to help them grow not only in their academic skills, but also to become brave and kind individuals. In order to achieve this, we, as teacher and parent, must work together to support, guide, and teach your child. Please feel free to contact me with concerns or questions so that we can give your child the best experience in school this year. This year we will work hard, but we'll do it together - and have some fun along the way too!
