Counseling Overview

  • Our counseling program is an essential part of the primary educational mission of the school. Our program is designed to meet the American School Counselor Association standards by working with students on academic, careers, and personal and social development. More specifically, we work with students to develop self-awareness, lifelong learning skills, and interpersonal communication skills.  Our counselors collaborate with school staff, student families, and the community to plan, coordinate, and implement services.

School Counselor

  • Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Megan Walter and I am happy to be the School Counselor at Olympic View Elementary (OVE).  I am originally from Oregon, but I have spent a lot of time in the Puget Sound area. I have also lived in Indiana, Michigan, and Kansas. Several members of my family are currently or were in the military - Navy, Army, and the Marines. With our school supporting many military families, I am able to make connections with students because of my own family experiences.

School Psychologist
