Summer Community Outreach Program

Oak Harbor Public Schools is excited to share engaging and exciting summer activities to keep students active, healthy, and learning. Links and more information about registration are available in each camp description. In previous years, the school district was able to sponsor camps and activities, but the Federal funds that were designated for this have expired. North Whidbey Soccer Club
Sundays with Coach Beth
1 hour sessions each Sunday in June for U09/U10 or U11/U12 Players
Fee: $35 for the Month of June
3-Day Camp for Players U6-U12
Join Coaches Clarissa and Jana for some summer soccer fun! Through fun activities and team games, you will work on your individual skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control. Plus, some game-like practice through scrimmages.

Levo Soccer Camp with Coach Thiago and Adriano
NWSC is partnering with Levo Soccer for additional summer camp in mid July. This camp will focus on technical ball skill development, small sided games, and character development.
Dates: July 10-13
- Coed Ages 4-5: 9:00am-10:00am
- Coed Ages 6-7: 9:30am-11:00am
- Coed Ages 8-10: 10:00am-Noon
- Coed Ages 11-14: 10:00am-1:00pm

3-Day Camp for Players U6-U12

Rise Dance Elite Flag & Dance Clinic
Come and learn flag and dance with guest instructors fom the Oak Harbor High School Color Guard. The Color Guard is a performance art that mixes dance and theater with the use of flags and other equipment. This is a fun activity for all ages, with no experience needed but limited spots are available.
The camp includes 8 hours of beginner skills in flag and dance. A short routine will be learned. Participants will have an opportunity to perform what they have learned in the Oak Harbor 4th of July Parade! All proceeds will be donated to the OHHS Band Booster.

Discover Magic Camp
The Discover Magic Camp is an educational program specifically designed to teach Respect, Creativity, Confidence, and Preparedness for elementary school-aged kids.
It is best described as a life skills course camouflaged to look like magic lessons. Kids become so engrossed and entertained in learning the magic tricks that they don't realize they're acquiring skills whose benefits they'll reap for a lifetime.
Dates of Camp: July 10-14 (8-12 years), July 24-28 (5-7 years who have completed Kindergarten), 10-Noon.

Summer Horse Camp at Wildwood Farm
Participants will learn all about horses through grooming and tacking, group riding lessons including an introduction to vaulting,

In Motion Kids Camps
Kids Camp: An exploration of music, dance, art, and play for ages 3 and 4 years, kindergarten and first graders with 2 and 3-day programs.
Dance Camp: A full week of dance classes for 2nd-graders, and up! Ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, and improvisation. For anyone looking to try out a new style, work on their technique, or just have fun with friends!
Acro Camp: A week of acro for beginner/intermediate 2nd-grade students, and up! No experience or some experience. All are welcome! Learn to bend, stretch, roll, and maybe even flip!

Click Music Summer Youth Program
Fun with Music
Let's dance and play music. We will be dancing, singing, and playing games to music. It's a great way to make new friends and have lots of fun.
All materials will be provided. Ages: 5-8 Minimum # of students is 5.
Saturday 12-12:50 p.m.
Fee: $150 for 9 weeks, June 26- Aug. 26
Rock Band
Rock out with your friends on the instrument of your choice. This is the class that you have been dreaming about.
All materials are provided. Please bring your music stand. Skill Level-Basic skills on your instrument. Minimum # of students is 6.
Monday & Wednesday 12-12:50 p.m.
Fee: $300 for 9 weeks, June 26- Aug. 26
Jazz Band
Learn the basics of Jazz Theory, Swing, Soloing, and Improvising.
Play charts from the "Great American Song Book" through modern jazz. All instruments are welcome!
All materials are provided. Please bring your music stand. Skill Level-Middle school and high school students with basic knowledge of your instruments. No Jazz experience required. Minimum # of students is 6.
Monday & Wednesday 1-1:50 p.m.

Theory & Ear Training
Are you considering a career in music? This class will be the foundation of your success.
Learn about the patterns that form music, improve your pitch and effect some cool aha moments as Jonathan builds your perspective. You will be delighted to understand how all the rules come together to make sense.
All materials are provided. Skill Level- Middle school and high school students. No previous theory training required. Minimum # of students is 4.
Monday & Wednesday 6:30-7:20 p.m.
Fee: $300 for 9 weeks, June 26- Aug. 26
Buckets of Fun
Make rhythm music together with your friends.
This is a high-energy experience that includes drumming and choreography. It is more fun than you can possibly imagine.
All materials will be provided. Skill level- Ages 10-16. Absolutely no previous musical experience is needed. Minimum # of students is 6.
Monday & Wednesday 10:30-11:30 a.m., June 26- Aug. 26
Fee: $300 for 9 weeks
Sr. Clarinet Choir
This class is an opportunity for high school students to achieve a high level of ensemble skills for performing and competing. We will focus on "Rhapsody in Blue" and a variety of classical pieces.
All materials will be provided. Please bring your music stand. Minimum # of students is 4. Skill Level-High schoolers who are willing to work hard.
Tuesday & Thursday 6:30-7:20 p.m. June 26- Aug. 10
Fee: $200 for 7 Weeks
Jr. Clarinet Choir
Clarinet students will improve their skills while harmonizing with their friends to create a beautiful ensemble sound.
We will play a variety of movie themes, marches, folk tunes, and classical selections. Materials-All materials will be provided. Please bring your music stand. Minimum # of students is 6.

Guitar Chops
Would you like to take your beginner level of guitar playing to the next level?
This set of gorup lessons are a fun way to improve your skills while enjoying making music together with your friends.
All materials are provided. Please bring your music stand. Skill Level- Middle school and high school students with basic knowledge of guitar or bass playing. Minimum # of students is 6.

Rhythm for All Musicians (RAM)
Rhythm is the foundation of all music we play.
This is a very valuable class for all vocal and instrumental musicians to read and execute rhythms accurately. This will improve the very aspect of our performances.
All materials will be provided. Please bring your music stand. Skill Level-Middle school and high school students who sing or plan any instrument. Minimum # of students is 4.
