Important Breakfast Service Information:
We serve 100+ breakfasts each morning to our students! We want to make sure that all students have enough time to eat but are not tardy to class. Breakfast service will begin at 8:30 AM for students who walk or are dropped off at school. Please remind your students to go right into the gym upon their arrival to school.
Oak Harbor students are offered a full hot lunch menu. This nutritionally complete lunch costs $3.20. For those students who qualify, the reduced price is $.40 for 4th grade. Reduced lunch for K-3 is no charge! Olympic View also offers a breakfast menu. Breakfast costs $2.10. If your child receives free or reduced-priced lunch, they are entitled to free breakfast. More informationNow Manage Student Meal Payments Online! More information
You may prepay your student's meals by depositing money on account, which is debited at the cashier. You may put any amount of money on the account, and we strongly encourage you to send at least a week's worth of meal money at a time. Please be aware of your child's diner account balance; food service emails low balance notices, so please check your email regularly!
Elementary emergency meal policy
By district policy, students whose funds have run out are allowed to get three meals on credit. Information will again be sent home with the student to request parents provide lunch payments.
To put money on your student's account, simply send a check, payable to Oak Harbor School District, to school with your student. Write your student's name on the check so it is deposited properly. Your student may also bring cash, but please be mindful of the fact that cash may be easily lost. Please be sure to seal either check or cash in an envelope with your student's first and last name on it, teacher's name, and the amount enclosed. If the funds should be shared between siblings, please include how much should be credited to each child in or on the envelope. Envelopes may be placed in the black drop lockbox outside the school office door or brought into the main office.
Free And Reduced Meals
Your students qualify for free meals if your household is receiving Basic Food, or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF). If your students are foster children or your household income is the same or less than the amounts listed in the Income Eligibility Guidelines for the school year, they may also qualify for free meals; a new application must be submitted each school year for approval.
Applications are available in the links below; you can submit one at any time. After your application has been processed, you will receive a letter stating those benefits for which you are eligible.Students who purchase a meal, or have free and reduced status will use their unique 5 digit PIN at the cashier. No one will know your student's status but the cashier who reads the coded message on the cash register. Your student will receive their PIN from the school office and it will stay with them until they graduate from Oak Harbor High School.
