  • Why are these Impact Aid Program Surveys important?
    Impact Aid is a federal program that provides financial resources to schools impacted by federally-owned, tax-exempt properties in the military and other communities. These funds become part of our District's operating budget and are critical to helping us forward academic excellence. The information you provide is confidential and will help us better serve our students.

    What section do I fill out if Parent/Guardian is Active Duty Military?
    Simply fill out one section on the survey form:

      • Parent/Guardian Employment Information: Uniformed Service. (student information is already populated from information in Skyward).

     

    What section do I fill out if Parent/Guardian is a Foreign Military Officer?
    Simply fill out one section on the survey form:

      • Parent/Guardian Employment Information: Foreign Military. (student information is already populated from information in Skyward).

     

    What section do I fill out if Parent/Guardian is a Civilian?
    Simply fill out one section on the survey form:

      • Parent/Guardian Employment Information: Civilian. (student information is already populated from information in Skyward).

        Many of our parent/guardians are employed on federal property in the Oak Harbor area (see list below). Please list that parent/guardian. Employer Address AND Address of federal property are required. Thank you for electronically signing and dating the bottom of the survey form as well. 

     

    Is Parent/Guardians place of employment on federal property?

    Here is a list of places of employment in the Oak Harbor area that are indeed on federal property:

    What if I do not know the name of the Federal Property I work on in Oak Harbor?
    On Whidbey Island, most all federal property is owned by Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. You are welcome to write Naval Air Station Whidbey Island or NASWI.

    Why do I need to electronically sign and date the bottom of the survey?
    By electronically signing the form, you are certifying that all information is accurate and complete as of the survey date October 1, 2020.

    Is all my given information confidential?
    Yes. All surveys are kept here in the school district and information is used for categorization purposes only.  The Impact Aid Program requires that we just submit numbers of students to the federal government, not information.
