"It’s been a gift to have played with and coached a wide range of athletes from pee-wee T-ballers to future Major Leaguers and NFL players. And throughout all my experiences, sports is unparalleled in its ability to arouse the best in humanity. It can rally people for a unified cause. One can experience stunning triumphs against all odds, experience pure, extraordinary joy, experience the potent and timeless bond of team, experience the intense detailed sweat of improvement. It is where men can cry, women can conquer, children can conceive the inconceivable. What Fun! Let’s Play!"
