Welcome Message
Dear Students and Families,
My name is Susan Armstrong and I am so excited to meet all the Transition students and their families! I have had the pleasure of teaching Transitions since 2018 and can’t wait to jump into a program that is embraced by the community, school, students and families. Together, we are going to make so much progress. Your growth will be as remarkable as each of you. This year will be filled with gaining the skills needed to promote each of your optimal levels of personal independence. Welcome to a wonderful year!
I expect you to:
Be prepared: Please eat breakfast/lunch at home unless otherwise arranged with Mrs. Armstrong. We need every minute of our time together to learn and grow.
Be present and on time: If you are not here and on time, you are missing important opportunities.
Be engaged: You need to be an active learner. The more engaged you are, the more you will gain from the class.
Be respectful: Allow others and yourself the opportunity to learn.
Be responsible: You will be using classroom materials, such as pots/pans, cooking utensils, washer/dryers, computers, etc. You will be expected to use these materials gently. You will be expected to return materials to where they belong after use.
Be safe: Be aware of the environment and those in it.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Susan Armstrong
