National Junior Honor Society

  • Welcome to the North Whidbey Middle School Branch of the National Junior Honor Society!

We are a club of 8th-grade students who have been selected to participate after meeting a minimum GPA requirement and an extensive application process. We are committed to Scholarship, Service, Character, Leadership, and CitizenshipWe conduct several school and community service projects per year, while maintaining a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Potential members are identified by qualified cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and above at the end of the first semester of their 7th-grade year. Seventh graders who meet this initial criteria are invited to complete a candidate form strictly by invitation only. Candidates who complete the application form are given final consideration through an evaluation of their forms via a faculty council. New member induction takes place in the spring of each academic year. Members actively participate throughout their 8th grade academic school year.
