  • Nate Shepherd

Nate Shepherd became an Associate Principal at Oak Harbor High School in 2019.  He wanted to become a high school administrator because he feels that there is no more important job in the world than getting ALL young people the education they deserve.  He wanted to become a principal to advocate on behalf of those students and educators that make such a big difference in our world.  He wants to create the environment and culture and build the systems we need to make sure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Mr. Shepherd is very excited to be a Wildcat and a part of this amazing community. He attended Bishop Blanchet High School in Seattle and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Oregon State University and Western Washington University.  He earned his Principal Certification from the University of Washington.  Before becoming an Associate Principal, he was an AVID and English teacher for fourteen years at Mount Vernon High School.

Outside of school, Mr. Shepherd and his wife Raushel have two kids, Zechariah and Chloe.
