Summer Feeding Program

  • Oak Harbor Public Schools will host the fourth annual Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) beginning Monday, June 25.  The nation-wide program is designed to serve FREE meals to ALL students 18 years and under during the summer season.  This year, our nutrition service department estimates over 12,000 FREE lunches will be served to the Oak Harbor community.  One exciting addition is breakfast will now be served at one location at 8 a.m.  This option is available to anyone 18 and under and will only be served at Olympic View Elementary from July 30-August 17.

The FREE program is available Monday-Friday and runs until Friday, August 24.   Lunch is typically served at 11 a.m. and has the required five USDA components, which are milk, fruit, vegetable, meat, and bread.  All families are encouraged to participate in this program, NO SIGN-UP or REGISTRATION is required.  The USDA estimates over 200 million lunches will be served across the country this summer.
