The Counseling Program is an integral part of the total education program at Hillcrest Elementary and is designed to serve the needs of all students. The goal of the Counseling Program is to provide support to students, teachers, and parents to create a positive learning experience. This support includes providing classroom guidance curriculum, individual counseling, small group counseling, referrals (in school and community), parent support, consultation, and crisis intervention. More specifically, we work with students to develop self-awareness, lifelong learning skills, and interpersonal communication skills. Our counselors collaborate with school staff, student families, and the community to plan, coordinate, and implement services.
