Dear Students and Families,
I started teaching in the Oak Harbor School District in 2015. Before teaching I served in the Navy, coached a swim team in Japan, and had my two sweet children. Coaching is what brought me to want to teach and there is nothing that can compare to a student's "lightbulb" going off. It really is one of the best things to get to be a part of.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my two children, go beach-combing, spend time near the water by our home, and travel when we can. We love to explore Washington and I have some family that lives over on the peninsula that I am lucky enough to visit frequently. I received my M.A in Mathematics from Western Governors University in 2016.
When students walk into my classroom, I want them to know that they are valued, loved, and respected members of our classroom community. My goals include fostering a positive learning experience for students and encouraging them to grow a love for learning. I look forward to working with you to ensure your students' success this year!
Sincerely,
Ms. Craven
