Learning Resources

  • Homework

In my classroom each student will have a three ring binder in which to keep their work organized.  I will be checking agendas (daily planner)  and their binders on Fridays to see that students documented their reading and acquired a signature from a parent. Please remind your student to show you his or her agenda daily as this will be a communication tool between us (they also need to be initialed daily). We may have additional homework, but this list will be homework for the entire year. Thank you for helping me assist your student in being successful!

    Grades

If your student has not met a score of 70% or better on a graded assignment, it should be redone. I give students several chances on most assignments to reach a score of 70% with your help at home. If a student scores a 70% on an assessment test, and would like to raise their overall grade they may redo the assignment once. The highest score a student may receive on any redone assignment is a 90%.

It is each student's responsibility to work towards improvement of his or her grades. As in previous years, students will receive performance evaluations of Outstanding (O); Satisfactory (S); Progressing (P); or Needs improvement (N).

    Report Cards - Family Access

Elementary report cards are issued at the end of each trimester and students are assessed in accordance with Oak Harbor Public Schools board policy. Parents can view their children's information by checking online in Skyward Family Access, a secure system that allows you to check attendance and more. Account information is provided to each family by the school office at the start of the school year. Talk to our school front office about Family Access or learn more here. Skyward Family Access.
