My name is Christina Brady and I am the full-time art specialist at Olympic View Elementary School. My husband, daughter, and I love all the outdoor activities, beautiful beaches, and mountain views here.
I grew up in a small town in Kentucky and got my bachelor's degree in art at Northern Kentucky University. Later I returned to The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington to get a master's degree in teaching. I have taught in Oakland, California, and Spokane. When I am not teaching I enjoy knitting and crocheting, making pottery, reading, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
At school, I love teaching art and seeing students' creativity and excitement. I teach all students the elements of art - line, shape and form, texture, value, space, and color. Each grade creates artwork that incorporates one or more of these elements. I base projects on student ability level and student interest. Student artwork is displayed in my classroom, around our school, and in our community.
