This year our homework will be to read, read, read. Your third grader must read 20-30 minutes nightly. Research has shown that this is the number one thing a student can do to grow their brain. Plus, reading is a great activity to do with your child. If you need any book recommendations, let me know.
Grades are recorded with one of four grade letters:
O - Outstanding for exceeding expectations
S - Satisfactory for meeting expectations
P - Progressing towards grade level expectations
N - Needs improvement
Report Cards - Family Access
Elementary report cards are issued at the end of each trimester and students are assessed in accordance with Oak Harbor Public Schools board policy. Parents can view their children's information by checking online in Skyward Family Access, a secure system that allows you to check attendance and more. Account information is provided to each family by the school office at the start of the school year. Talk to our school front office about Family Access or learn more here. Skyward Family Access.
