Ms. Ryan Wethall

  • Welcome Message

    Dear young scholars and families,

Welcome to either my Psychology course or US History course and for a few fortunate young scholars, both classes!  I started teaching high school social studies in Bellingham after graduating from Western Washington University in 2002/03.  I moved to Whidbey Island in 2005 and have been teaching at Oak Harbor High School with great pride since 2006.

I am highly energetic and creative and passionately teach my classes.  My infectious enthusiasm inspires students to appreciate the material which often connects very easily to their daily lives.  I know students enjoy school more and learn better in a warm environment with positive teachers and supportive relationships and they will find those traits in our class together.

My “why” statement at my classroom entrance speaks to my philosophy of teaching: “To inspire each kid to reach his/her potential beyond being my temporary young scholar.”

I look forward to a great semester/year with you.

    Sincerely,
    Ms. Ryan Wethall
