Welcome to the 2022 - 2023 school year!

This will be my sixteenth year teaching at Hillcrest. I have also taught at Oak Harbor Elementary and the former Clover Valley Elementary. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and combination classes of first and second grade. Most of my experience has been teaching first grade.

First grade is a year to build foundational reading, writing, and math skills. Once students gain confidence in their skills, they can apply these skills to other areas, such as science and social studies. There are so many wonderful opportunities for learning in first grade, and it is such a delight to see the academic growth students make during the school year.

I look forward to working with my students to help build their desire to learn, a sense of wonder, and an excitement to share with others what they learn in first grade.
