New Principal Announced at Crescent Harbor Elementary
-
May 18, 2023
We are pleased to announce that Bill Weinsheimer will be stepping into the Crescent Harbor Elementary Principal role beginning next school year.
Weinsheimer spent ten years in the classroom as a high school science teacher before moving to Oak Harbor to become an associate principal at Oak Harbor High School for seven years. After supporting the leadership at Oak Harbor High School, he transitioned to be the North Whidbey Middle School principal for eleven years.
“As a school principal, I aim to create the conditions for school staff to do the amazing work with students that they are capable of. I also believe that forming strong, trusting relationships with parents is crucial to a school’s success. Most of all, school should be a joyful place to work and learn. If I can bring joy, trusting relationships, and staff support to Crescent Harbor, then I am confident that our students will grow and be happy humans,” said Weinsheimer in an announcement to staff.
“Based on the feedback from CHE staff, we felt that Bill’s extensive school administration experience as principal at North Whidbey Middle School will best fit the needs of the Crescent Harbor staff, students and community moving forward. I am confident Bill’s student-centered mindset will continue to serve our students and staff of Crescent Harbor, especially as they move forward in the work of building a new school,” said Superintendent Michelle Kuss-Cybula.
This transition leaves a principal vacancy at North Whidbey Middle School. District leadership will continue to meet and discuss next steps with the North Whidbey Middle School staff to identify the next steps in the selection process for a replacement moving forward.
Please join us in congratulating Bill Weinsheimer on his new role at Crescent Harbor!
