  • Welcome Message

    Hello Families and Students!

I teach math – a subject feared by many. The goal in my classroom is to create a “growth mindset” by changing the words we use to talk about math.

In my classroom, we don’t say:
    “I’m not good at this”
    “I can’t do math”
    “This is too hard”
    Instead, we will say:
    “What am I missing?”
“I’m going to train my brain in math.”
“This may take some time and effort.”

From Algebra I to Calculus, math is more than just numbers.  It’s about becoming better problem solvers and thinkers.  We do this by studying math.

    Sincerely,
    Ms. Stacy Voorhees
