Hello and welcome to kindergarten at Olympic View Elementary School! My name is Jacqueline Snook and I have been teaching in the Oak Harbor Public Schools since 2006. I am a Washington native and love where we live! I enjoy spending time in my garden and going to the beach with my family. I also love working with young children and seeing their excitement for life and for learning!
When my kindergarten teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I told her that I either wanted to be a teacher or a veterinarian. I decided to get a cat instead of become a veterinarian, but worked hard in school to make my dream of becoming a teacher a reality. After graduating from Blaine High School, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree and teaching certificate through Seattle Pacific University. Since then, I have also earned a Master’s Degree in early reading and literacy instruction through Walden University and my National Board Teacher Certification.
Kindergarten is a special year in a child’s education, and it is my hope that all students will leave my class feeling loved and loving learning. I look forward to getting to know you more as we learn and grow together this year!
