Welcome Message
Bonjour! What I want you to know about me is that I love my job. I teach French with enthusiasm and encourage a positive attitude from every student.
We go from kindergarten-like French I to university level French IV in four short years. It’s very important that we stay focused, engaged in our lessons, and use comprehensible French all the time. It’s also important to remember that we all process language at different speeds and those speeds change as we learn new things and recycle old ideas. We must be respectful diplomats with each other in class as learners, as we must be with each other in different cultures around the world.
Our department tries to keep the learning fun and comprehensible by Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS). We will listen, read and comprehend; speak, write and be understood, and; ask questions… in French. These are our every day goals.
