Hello, My name is Matthew Mouw and I am the ML (Multilingual Learner) teacher at NWMS.  This is my 4th year at NWMS and my 2nd year as the ML Teacher.  My passion is working with students who are bilingual as well as the family unit, as a whole. In our class, the primary focus is improving the student's ability to Listen, Read, Write and Speak.  We accomplish this through such activities as debating current topics, improving knowledge and application of unfamiliar vocabulary, completing weekly journal topics and much more. We also enjoy celebrating the various cultures and languages that represent our class during the Heritage Months of September and October. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two daughters.

I am looking forward to working with your child and seeing them grow as a student and as a person. I also am excited to work with you, the parents, in helping your child continue to succeed.
