First Day of School

  • Back by popular demand, we are hosting Family Connection Conferences to kick off the school year.  Conferences will be on Thursday, Sept. 1, and Friday, Sept. 2.  Students in grades 1-4 will be at school for the regular length of school days starting Tuesday, Sept. 6.  The conference scheduler will be available on Aug. 26 at 4 pm. For our Kindergarten students, conferences will begin on Sept. 1, 2, and 6th.  Kinder's first day of on-campus school is Wednesday, Sept. 7.  We will be mailing home information to kindergarten parents that will include their conference date and time.  Conferences for Kindergarten students are Required before the student can start school.

    Mental Health Resources

To reach the new National Suicide Prevention Lifeline for mental health crises, call or text 9-8-8 or chat 988lifeline.org.  The Lifeline helps thousands of people overcome crisis situations every day by providing 24/7, free and confidential support to people in a suicidal crisis or emotional distress.

Additionally, OHPS partners with Care Solace, an online resource with a live 24/7 concierge meant to assist individuals in finding local mental health-related programs and counseling services. Care Colace is a tool for school staff and families to connect with the community-based mental healthcare resources and providers. For more information go to the OHPS Mental Health Resources webpage.
