I am Heather Chaszar and this is my fifth year at Olympic View Elementary School. My husband John and I relocated to Oak Harbor in 2018 and built our forever home. We have two children, Christopher and Nicholas. Christopher graduated from the University of Missouri and lives in Kansas City, Kansas. Nicholas graduated from Louisiana State University and lives in Galveston, TX. I enjoy reading, running, and spending time with my family and our two dogs Louie and Walter.
I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Metropolitan State College of Denver in Denver, Colorado, and a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning from Avila University, in Kansas City, Missouri. In addition, I have a Secondary Business Education license and an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. I am a Level 4 IMSE Orton Gillingham Master Instructor and a Certified Structered Literacy Teacher.
I have a wealth of experience and information to draw from for my classroom and strive to use strategies that engage all students in the learning process. I hope students learn, from me, to always strive to be the best that they can be.
